     Having provided a cosmological foundation in the last chapter, the intent now will be to introduce the human element further into the story of the numerology of cosmology.

     The previous chapter tells the story of creation up to the point where the lords of humanity started their sojourn into the ongoing planetary development. It is when the divine spark (manifesting the attributes of its logos) enters into the levels of mind, emotion and physical body of matter that a human being as we know it emerged. Up until now the focus of the divine sparks descent has been looking down from the perspective of the cosmos.

   Now we will examine this process from where we stand looking back from a human perspective. The dawn of the individual human being in the meaning most familiar to us, could be said to have started at the moment when the spark entered into hominids which were evolving upon the planet earth at that time. At the moment of entry the hominid first stood up straight, and became aligned with the stars. Its consciousness then directed toward heaven. It was at that moment when the upright human initiated the journey toward becoming self conscious, rather than staying in the group consciousness or species consciousness.

     In an attempt to make it easier for the reader to grasp some of these abstract concepts, let us look at this story of creation through a more familiar set of symbols. The symbolic system referred to is that of the tree of life glyph from the ancient cabala. The spheres of the cabala are usually associated with teaching of the ancient Hebraic tradition. However, these symbols are universal and predate humanity, let alone any one particular religion or secular belief system.

 Illustrated below is the simple glyph.

These ten spheres or sephirot depict the three attributes of deity plus the seven planes of consciousness. The top three, sometimes called the supernal triad, are symbolic of the attributes of deity or the prime trinity. The remaining seven spheres are symbolic of the seven planes of consciousness. By connecting these paths we are given a very powerful symbolic metaphor depicting the journey of consciousness descending from spirit into matter, and then returning to spirit on the path of ascension. See Figure Seven,

     As you will note when including the spheres, there are a total of thirty-two paths that are key posts that highlight stages of the journey. The twenty-two paths are related to the twenty-two major arcana cards of the tarot. These can also be related to the twelve houses or signs of the zodiac plus the ten calculated orbs (the planets plus the sun and moon) that make up the key matrix of astrology. The thirty-two paths of involution along with the same number in the path of evolution correspond to the sixty-four hexagrams of the I Ching. When considering the sixty-four plus fourteen (the journey down and back up the seven planes) we have seventy-eight, the number of cards in the tarot deck.

  The five major symbolic systems that have had a huge impact upon awakening mankind include the Tarot (Egyptian), I-Ching (Chinese), Numerology (Greek), Astrology (Sumerian) and Cabala (Hebrew). Each of these five symbolic systems comes from a different ancient culture, and each symbolic system in its own esoteric manner presents a symbolic map. Each map depicts the pathway of descent of spirit into matter, and the path of ascension back up from the material plane to heaven (or reunion with the ONE). The reader can easily grasp the significance contained in the glyph and is left with much to contemplate and integrate into awareness. By studying and contemplating upon the relationship of these five symbolic teachings the student can considerably accelerate the process of awakening. Through rituals and ceremonies connected with these systems one can rediscover the path back home to Source.

     Let us now proceed with the experiential nature of this journey. An analogy often used to describe the three fold attributes of the Absolute, include those of will, wisdom, and love.

     The connection with human attributes can be made with an analogy to the ring cosmos (will), ring chaos (wisdom) and ring pass not (love). Divine desire for creation initiates will. Through experience gained from the cosmic dance of these two polarities knowledge is acquired (wisdom). And finally all experience and information is brought into balance harmony and integration (love).

  Perhaps another way to make this concept less abstract and related more to life is to imagine dancing the waltz with your partner. It is a pure archetypal form of being together in a very brief relationship with that partner. You have the two (masculine and feminine) dancing to the count of three (trinity) and becoming as One! As a ballroom dancer the author has experienced a form of mystical union while dancing the waltz with a compatible partner. There have been moments during the dance when there was no time, no space, no partner, and no music. The entire moment turned into being at one with the universe (just BEING).
