The date of birth provides one of the four
most significant calculations during interpretation of the natal chart. From
this number you can determine the life number. The life number yields insight
into the reoccurring lessons the individual will attract into his/her life
experience. This number provides insight as to how that person will likely
react to the circumstances life offers.
The life
number provides a clue as to what fate has in store. It tells us which
particular lessons will be repeated and given most attention until they are
learned and integrated into the soul memory. Proper utilization of
numerological information can provide guidelines and help the individual adjust
more readily to the lessons of life.
If you
take conscious responsibility for your potential, you can better understand
yourself and considerably accelerate the learning curve of life. With
understanding comes the foundation upon which effective actions are based.
Right action releases us from the wheel of karma and rebirth, furthering the
evolution of soul. We can continue our journey onto higher spirals and planes
of existence.
It is my
personal belief that the date of birth is determined by the soul (and higher
self) of the incoming child. Every mother has the experience of knowing that
when the child is ready, birth occurs. It seems only proper that the soul does
the choosing because the life number indicates the type of opportunities,
challenges, and destiny that life experience will bring to assist experiential
evolution. It is not necessary for the reader to accept this opinion to
appreciate the meaning of numbers. Whatever the process of selection, it is the
birth date that does define the life pattern.
The life
number is derived from the sum total of the numbers in the month, the day, and
the year of birth. The total is then reduced is reduced to a single digit
(except when dealing with master numbers).
For example the birth date of
7 21
1931 = 7+2+1+1+9+3+1 = 24 = 2+4= 6
NOTE!!! The
calculation by addition of each number in consecutive order is given precedence
and is considered the pure number.
also: 7 21
l931
(7) (3) (5)
7+3+5= 15 = 6
or: 7
21
1931
1959= 24 = 6
These
secondary systems help find potential master numbers and can be used as the
basis for other interpretive derivations.
11 22
1984= 1+1+2+2+1+9+8+4= 28= 10= 1+0= 1
Also: 11 22
1984
(11) (22) (22) =11 + 22 + 22
=(55) 1
In the
above instance, the sum is 22 and, being a master number, is not reduced to
four. When 11's, or 22's(or any master number) appear in the month, day, or
year, they are generally left in that form, for purposes of calculation and are
not reduced. Later when we start subtracting they will be reduced.
Or: 11
22
1984
2017= 10= 1
Here’s
another example: 11 21
1934= 11+ 3+ 8= 22 (4)
(NOTE) Regarding master numbers). The concept
of pure number has been introduced in this book. There are other methods of adding
numbers that have been used in numerology. I was influenced by some of them in
my early years and still watch for them. These methods can help pull out
potential master numbers into recognition. Following below are some examples to
help clarify the process.
In the
birth date 11 22 l901 you could add 11+ 22 +11=(44)8. The second 11
comes from first adding 1+9=0+1=11 which is not reduced.
Yet
another example would be 8 13 1953=30=3+0=3 pure number. A variation on this
would be 8+ 4 (the reduced l3)+1 (the reduced 19) + 53=(66)3. Or 8+4+1+53=66.
Still one
further example would be 7 12
1950=25=2+5=7 pure number. However, by
doing it the following way you get 7+12+19+50=(88)7. Some numerologists
would argue this is stretching the system to find master numbers. It is one of
the ways that have been used to calculate numbers. There can be a legitimate
rationale for splitting the numbers this way. I do feel it can reveal a
potential master number. It is still up to the individual if they want to take
on the vibration and responsibility of the additional force in a conscious
manner.
Threes
have come to learn beauty, charm, grace, enthusiasm, creative expression and
joy to mention some of the primary lessons. Threes are often found in
entertainment, the creative arts, public media, sales, crafts, writing, and
related endeavors. Threes have come into this life to create, radiate beauty
and harmony, and express self. The expression of the creative ability and the opportunity
to apply it in life may come naturally for many of those with this number. This
is especially true when indicators in the whole chart show balance and flow.
More often the person with the 3 life path is born into a family where he
encounters considerable inhibition, resistance, or indifference to artistic or
creative skills he possesses.
The
suggestion is that in a previous life or lives, the 3 very likely had developed
pronounced abilities and failed to discipline them to highest virtuosity, or
became superficial about the gift. Once again, the 3 may have the potential,
but this time life has thrown obstacles in the way of development. This makes
the gift that is truly earned more respected, appreciated, and expressed with
dedication. Here are a couple hypothetical situations.
A young
lady may strongly desire to play the piano and has shown ability at a school
tryout. She lives in a family where money is scarce, and the parents are unable
to afford the instrument. Another example might be a young man who has shown
outstanding proclivities toward acting and singing. He may have a father from
the old puritan work-ethic culture. The thought of having an effeminate
Milquetoast artist as a son is overwhelming to his male ego, so the son is
intimidated and forced to pursue "manly" occupations. In another
instance a three-year-old child may create a particularly colorful, symbolic,
and aesthetically pleasing finger painting. Unfortunately it is done on the new
kitchen cabinets, so the child is severely punished for his/her creativity.
Hence, the spontaneity of creation becomes associated with chastisement and
pain. It may not surface again for many years.
You enjoy
the aesthetics and diversity of expression among the different nationalities of
the world. Your fascination with nature takes you to different climates and
variations of season and splendor. Your joy of living leads you to dance and
sing and celebrate among people from numerous religions and social classes. You
enjoy sports for the improvement it brings to the body and to appearance. Your
sense of fashion and grooming bring you great delight shopping and searching
for just the right choice of clothing or make up. You enjoy presenting a
favorable appearance. Your abilities as a host and hostess bring the famous and
unknowns to your door. Whether well known or not, those who do come to your
door are almost always interesting characters.
Three is
the union of one (male-father) plus two (female-mother) resulting in the
expression of universal creative energy. All creative acts result from
releasing the creative force, or kundalini. The same creative energy expressed
in the physical act of creativity (sexual intercourse), can also be channeled
into other levels of expression, be it job creativity, artistic creativity,
intellectual creativity, or soul creativity. Very often early childhood
awakening to sexual curiosity or outlet is associated with feelings of guilt,
shame, embarrassment, chastisement, or confusion. Such incidents as self exploration,
childhood sex games, sexual abuse, stimulation from a family member, petting
and foreplay, or guilt ridden early sexual relations leave a scar of guilt,
fear, shame, or confusion in the subconscious attitude toward creativity on the
sexual level.
When that
adult commences a new creative endeavor later in life on another level (work,
art, soul), the subconscious conflicts become activated, and the individual
will react to the subconscious stimulus by terminating the project prematurely.
A 3 with this conflict may become involved in a multitude of creative
diversions, but he will fail to truly excel in any of them. He may have several
incomplete paintings, poems, stained glass fixtures, projects of every creative
nature, underfoot in his home. Each time we expand our consciousness higher and
outward, we go deeper into the subconscious to release deeply hidden blocks.
This conflict with creativity may also apply when 3 appears elsewhere in the
chart, i.e. personality, letters in the name, day or month, etc. The principle
applies when manifesting creative components of any number.
You yearn to
investigate the laws of the creative energy and work to release it sensibly in
harmony with all other factors in consciousness. On the esoteric level, 3 is
The Word spoken, the Christ Consciousness manifested (see No. 3 of Actualized
Self). Threes are the heralds and spokesmen preparing man for the dawn by the
illuminating inspiration of their works, despite the subconscious conflicts
they must outgrow. When the struggle is
won, life is glorious for a 3. They are naturals as hosts and benefit from
socializing with other seekers and creative personalities. At their best, they
are imaginative, inspired, and able to tap deep emotions. They are gifted with
the ability to use words but must be careful not to slip into pettiness and
superficiality.
Misguided or, perhaps should I say "unguided" threes are very
capable of speaking endlessly and having very little to say. They need to
discipline energies and avoid spreading their talents too thinly. Threes often
run with the "in" crowd and jet set and when out of harmony can
squander away talent in self-indulgence, luxury, and pseudo-sophistication.

The 44
life number is similar to the 8, which should be reviewed at this time.
Forty-fours often possess excellent organizational skills along with knowledge
regarding the mechanics of getting
things done. They may be trained or, as is often the case, have innate
knowledge) in areas of engineering, business management, physics, mathematics,
and other professional fields related to construction and architectural
leanings. These are the visionary artists who create lofty structures that
emanate sacred geometry and glorify the dynamics of universal laws in
structure.
When
attracted to the arts they organize, choreograph and provide financial support
to drama , music, or any artistic endeavor which inspires man to seek a deeper
understanding and relationship with their creator. They are often articulate
and powerful orators who can inspire thousands at a time into working for a
righteous and venerable cause.
