More Than Nine Numbers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

At the heart of numerological interpretation are the letters in the name. In the first portion of the book, the numerical equivalents were given for each letter. In this chapter, attention will be directed to the specific symbolical meaning of each letter and its meaning for the natal and progressed chart.

To better understand the symbolical meaning of letters, it is helpful to consider the basic symbols of consciousness that underscore the meaning of the letters.  The full circle represents the super conscious of inclusive embracing awareness. The half circle represents the subconscious or soul. Straight lines represent the consciousness; the vertical is usually male and horizontal is female. When angled lines occur in a letter, they represent progress and an exchange of awareness. They may be assertive or responsive, depending upon origin and direction of flows.

As a further aid to delineation of the letters, think of a letter as operating on three levels. The top represents the spiritual aspect, the middle the mental-emotional, and the bottom is symbolic of the physical plane where spirit is planted on earth. Using the letter A as an example:

Following are individual interpretations for the twenty-six letters of our alphabet. The initials (Wl, Ws, L ) are abbreviations for Will, Wisdom, and Love). For further clarification as to the origin of these combinations see the reference chart just after Figure Nine in Chapter 15. There you will find the primary and secondary arrangement of the numbers.

Z (26=8) Wl-Wl--The Z transfers information between levels like a bolt of lightning. The influence of Z is very potent, and its presence has a marked effect on consciousness. You have abundant self-confidence, drive, and a great deal of energy. The Z is like pure energy and as such can be used constructively or with devious motive. When positively directed, it brings leadership, success with money, and organizational efficiency. You should avoid exaggeration and excesses in personal habits. Misuse of material goods will chain the soul and bind growth. You have a magnetic influence with the masses and must guard how you use influence. When Z is the first letter in the name, it can bring prophetic abilities, enhance public recognition, and often put one into unconventional professions. As the last letter, it warns of the pitfall associated with misuse of wealth and personal power. "Regeneration" is an important word for Z people.

Progressed Chart—bring order to chaos through inspired leadership, wise judgment can bring gains in wealth and/or prestige, overcome limitations, take tremendous strides, put universal law into practice, misguided emotions can be a strain on health, avoid schemes and earn your way honestly, brings unusual mate and friends, seek efficiency with occult and divine studies, zapped by the cosmic lightning bolt, stresses investigation and truth.

The reader might want to consider, when interpreting the significance of the letter symbolism in the progressed chart, the vibrational influence of each specific year the letter covers. For example, let us use the letter G. The first year in the letter G's influence will have a slightly different shade than the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh year of its periodicity. The accomplished student will eventually want to blend the numerical value of each year with the vibrational quality of the number.

For instance, in the fourth year of the G's influence, the individual will feel the need to discipline the self to best attune to accumulate wisdom within. In the fifth year, there will be expansion and more conscious expression of the innate capacities of mind and soul. By developing this awareness, you will add considerable subtlety and insight to your art of interpretation. See the last chapter for more details regarding procedure for arranging the chart. With time and practice, you will be able to establish insights for more thorough personal evaluations.
